Hi, I’m Sam - the eye (and more often than not muddy boots and jeans) behind Sam Russell Photography.

From the energy of live shows to the intimacy of a maternity shoot, from rural life to city weddings, I love capturing it all. My camera is a way for me to listen and tell stories: the kind you can look back on and still feel.

What ties all my work together is a documentary approach: I look for what’s real, for what matters, and for the in-between moments that are easy to miss but impossible to forget. I pay attention to the small stuff. I want every client to feel comfortable, heard, and totally themselves in front of the camera - even if it’s their first time.

My ideal shoot is one that everyone leaves thinking "Wow, that was fun" with stunning photos to look back on and remember forever.
